• Generate 3D models, drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and instructions necessary to convey project requirements to others.
• Provide technical support for Sales during the inquiry phase.
• Review customer specifications and project documents for incorporation into drawing notes, bill of materials, and purchase specifications.
• Produce some mechanical and structural calculations in accordance with appropriate codes and standards.
• Respond to shop and field questions and/or non-conformances.
• Support the shop with layouts, templates, etc.
• Produce some mechanical and structural calculations in accordance with the appropriate codes and standards.
• Participate in general process improvements and initiatives.

Qualifications

• Technical or trade school certificate in CAD design, mechanical engineering technology, or a related field required.
• Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering technology, or a related field preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of CAD design or mechanical engineering experience required.
• 3D CAD experience with AutoCAD Inventor preferred.
• Fabrication, weld shop, or machine shop experience preferred.
• Good mechanical and math aptitude required.
